PETER MERRIAM Owner, Merriam Vineyards	A New England "NATIVE" with a love for wine for over 25 years. Peter's knowledge of wine and many years of experience as a wine retailer in Massachusetts made owning vineyards, and a winery in Sonoma the next logical step in a long relationship with the soil, grapes, and of course the wine.

GARRETT OLIVER Brewmaster	Garrett Oliver is the Brewmaster for The Brooklyn Brewery and the foremost authority in the United States on the subject of traditional beer. His primary occupation is the creation of The Brooklyn Brewery’s line of award-winning beers. His most recent book, The Brewmaster’s Table, was the winner of the 2004 IACP Cookbook Award and a finalist for the James Beard Foundation Book Award. He is currently working as editor-in-chief The Oxford Companion to Beer for Oxford University Press, slated for 2010. Garrett is a veteran of more than 500 beer dinners, tastings and pairing events in eight countries, and frequently appears on television as a spokesman for real beer. Garrett was Cheers Beverage Media’s “Beverage Innovator of the Year” Award for 2006. In 2007, Forbes named him one of the top ten tastemakers in the country for wine, beer and spirits.
